Stephanie Coueignoux of Spectrum News 13 and Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 in Orlando are reporting that the Orange County Sheriff’s office was called multiple times to the WWE Performance Center in recent weeks. Officials repeatedly told the company it was not in compliance with the existing laws and that the television taping would have to be shut down. Even after the executive order was signed that deemed WWE to be an “essential” business, police were called to Monday’s RAW taping.
Here are notes from Coueignoux and Alba:
NEW: @OrangeCoSheriff tells @StephanieCNews and I it was called several times to the #WWE PC in the last few weeks, and told the company it was not in compliance with the existing Executive Order and had to close down. April 9th's EO changed that.https://t.co/UBlu7ZDWaU

DeSantis was asked specifically about essential businesses being given the go and #WWE was brought up as the example. Only briefly touched that, spoke at length to discuss all of the other sports he’d like to see back, emphasizing their importance. He then walked off the podium.

.@StephanieCNews and I pieced together this timeline regarding #WWE:
April 9: DeSantis qualifies WWE as essential. Same day, Linda McMahon's re-elect Trump Super PAC commits $18.5 million to Florida.
April 10: Vince McMahon reportedly made decision to tape live in Orlando. https://t.co/lmyomQUmSp
